For me, my language studies have been a long ongoing passion, starting when I studied Japanese

at West Valley College. I then went to Japan and stayed with a host family.

I went back to California, and later on did a minor in Japanese at San Jose State,

and was fortunate to have Shimazu Sensei as my teacher. He currently teaches

there still, and just celebrated his 20th year anniversary, よくできました！

Also during my time in College, I studied abroad at Yonsei University in Seoul, for a year.

Study abroad is a fantastic way to learn about another country, yourself, and life in general.

Seoul is an amazing city, I loved the subway system, so many delicious foods, jimjirbang (hot baths),

and much more! Checkout my Seoul travel section for my favorites.

I've focused on Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Taiwan/traditional characters).
