XBMC Remote

There's a nifty application out there that allows you to control your media on your PC from your Android phone. That means you can watch videos, playback music, look at pictures, and even check the weather on your big screen for example, without touching your Keyboard or mouse. Super Duper.

Setup is straightforward. Make sure you set the permissions in Windows firewall correctly, and run your Android phone and PC on the same Wireless network to ensure success. Checkout the YouTube walkthrough to see it in action.

Setup:

1. Make sure you allow the XBMC program on TCP and UDP ports, just go to Windows Firewall and "Add Program."
2. Enter your XBMC Server (your computer's IP) address into the Android App
3. Enjoy!
